Pay It Forward

Hello and Good Day.....
As I have been the recipient of the lovely idea of Pay It Forward, it is my welcome obligation to, in fact, do so.

I have decided that each entry will need to tell me of their "Most Favorite Day" ....it does not have to be elaborate and yet it needs to be true to your heart.....it may have been that first sweet kiss, the first look at a welcome child, the first time you heard "I love you". There is no wrong response....

The Deadline will be March 21....I will pick two "Winners" and send them a unique and custom designed piece that I will stitch and finish - inspired by their "Most Favorite Day"!

  1. Well..my favorite day is Christmas! As my grandson used to say "You get free stuff!" LOL No..seriously it's the one day of the year my whole family can get together and being that we are spread out all over the state we really have fun and enjoy it!

  2. Should it be a most favorite "one" day? May I say my favorite day is Saturday? I love that there is no alarm, and at this point in my life the only thing I HAVE to do is exactly what I choose - cooking, housework, stitching... and which do you think wins out most of the time? Thanks for opening your PIF to us!

  3. My most favorite day would have to be the day (night) my first grandson was born! Joining the ranks of grandparenthood is what all the trials and tribulations of child raising are all about!

  4. My most favorite day is Mother's Day. It is the only day of the year that I absolutely don't have to lift a finger for anyone else! With 7 people living in this house that is a welcome day off. They all take care of me, kisses are plentiful, appreciation is expressed for all that I do for them the rest of the year, and they make sure I have lots of chocolates for breakfast (cocoa, chocolate crepes or croissants) and lunch (Bridge Mix, lol)! They do take me out to dinner before giving me even more chocolate! I usually can depend on having the computer for as long as I would like to and control of the TV remote all day. Believe me, it doesn't get lazier for me than this day each year unless I am deathly ill. I can stitch without interruption, too.

  5. My most favorite day was my wedding day, January 22, 2005. I was 46, he was 41, neither of us had been married before. We married in the church we had met in barely a year before, surrounded by our family and friends. My 86 year-old father, who had gone into the hospital 2 weeks earlier, was able to make it to the wedding which made the day all the more special.

  6. When I took my parents to a Peter, Paul and Mary concert at wolftrap. Growing up we all loved PP&M. We would listen to the albums, watch concerts on PBS etc... It felt so good to be able to take them as a present and enjoy it with them

  7. My favorite day was the birth of my first child. I had no idea what to expect and never imagined one little human being could affect my life in such a big way. It was love at first sight and that has never wavered in 33 years.

  8. My favorite day is the current day, the present, because it is a "present" to me. I have to learn to live in the here and now. I can't look backwards and it's too iffy to look ahead, so today is it!!!

  9. My most favorite day was the one that I met my sweetie. It was the day before my birthday, almost 10 years ago. We have been through a lot of ups and downs over that time, and he has been such a tremendously supportive of me throughout!

  10. After teaching for 17 years, I transferred to a gifted magnet school, and thus began the next and best 20 years of teaching. I am still in the school, retired, and sharing the computer applications position with another retired 1/2 time teacher. It it just wonderful!

  11. Your work is beautiful.MY Day...Monday is the best, it is the day that I do nothing but fun. It's kind of like my day off, my day to do what I want rather then what I have to. I like to do stitching and sewing and sometimes a craft.

  13. Hello.....All of your comments are wonderful and today is the day to pick. I have enjoyed reading each of your favorite days. It is not easy to tell things that are Most favorite and so I have decided that I will, in fact stitch, something as PIF for each of you over the next year! I have already charted an original design and will put the things most important to each of you into it.....I will post a picture here as I send each one off.....This will be great fun....Milly and Virginia have the same day just many many years apart!
Thanks so much for playing with me!
